The Commons

Discussion Forums

The discussion forums are a "place" where community and/or campus members can discuss key issues within the public humanities arena, ask questions, request volunteers, or volunteer services.  You can either read what others are saying or you can contribute to the conversation.

Signing in and establishing a password is easy. Please register here (please note that the security code is in the graphic box). If you are already registered, sign in here, then enter the forum of your choice:

  • Open discussion (Share a dialog with others interested in the scholarship of engagement and public humanities work.)
  • Search for people (Look for volunteers, participants, project partners, and people who share your area of interest.)
  • Search for opportunities (Here is the place to look for and post opportunities and announcements.)
  • Ask for/give advice (Ask questions, share your knowledge and problem solve with others here.)
  • Share resources (Let's try to help each other out -- look for and provide tangible and intangible surplus resources.)

If you would like to find a partner, please also visit our current list of Community Partners and the lists of MSU faculty partners in the Scholars and Projects.
